EPD Serves Search Warrant in San Marcos

On Thursday, July 26, at about 10:30 PM, EPD arrested Octavio Robert Aldrete (41 years old- San Marcos resident) for being a felon in possession of a loaded handgun and drugs. He was arrested in the 600 block of S. Escondido Blvd.
On Friday, July 27, at about 4:00 AM, EPD detectives and SWAT officers served a Search Warrant at a home in the 900 block of La Moree (City of San Marcos).
EPD found two adults and three children in the home when they served the Search Warrant.
EPD arrested Mercedes Rodriguez (21 years old- San Marcos resident) for drug charges and for child endangerment. Rodriguez is the mother of two of the children that were at the home. Her children were taken into protective custody and will be under the care of Child Protective Services. The third child at the home had been visiting. The parents responded and took custody of the third child.
EPD arrested Sean Wahl (43 years old- San Marcos resident) for possession of drugs.
There will be no further information released regarding this case.
