Heat Advisory in effect from Noon to 8pm today.

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Heat Advisory from 1pm to 7pm today.

Heat Index Values may reach between 100 and 104 degrees this afternoon.

Impacts on Health such as Heat Cramps or Heat Exhaustion may become more likely if precautions are not taken. Prolonged Exposure in this environment can make Heat Stroke Possible.

Extra precautions should be taken to if working outside. Wear light weight and loose clothing when possible and drink plenty of water. Anyone overcome by Heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Animals should be provided plenty of clean fresh water along with shade to protect them from the Sun and Heat.
