Boil Water Advisory Rescinded

A Boil Water Advisory issued by the KCMO Water Services Department on July 24th, 2012 has been cancelled at 11:30 p.m. on July 25th.

The affected area was I-70 south to 87th Street; Blue Ridge Cut-off east to the city-limits.

Customers no longer need to boil water prior to drinking or cooking.

Tests on the water show that the water meets requirements for public drinking water and is safe to drink without boiling.

This precautionary Boil Water Advisory was issued due to a power outage at a pump station which caused pressure loss in the parts of the distribution system.
