Police Officer Russell Gay was honored last Wednesday evening at the Scottish Rite Bodies 20th Annual Law Enforcement Recognition Awards Night Awards Banquet held in San Diego. Russ was nominated as the Escondido Police Department’s Scottish Rite Police Officer of the Year for his outstanding performance as a law enforcement professional.
Escondido Police Department Volunteer Dee Russell was recognized by the San Diego County Crime Commission last Thursday at their volunteer awards luncheon held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in San Diego . Dee has over 12 years of volunteer service with the Police Department spending most of her time in Patrol where she performs vacation house checks, checking on abandoned vehicles and freeing police officers by conducting traffic control at traffic collisions and/or critical incidents. Dee also volunteers her time in the Investigations Division twice a month by assisting with the Juvenile Diversion Program – a rehabilitation program for low-risk offenders.
The department congratulates both Russ and Dee for their hard work and dedication.
