On July 22, 2012, at approximately 11:25 P.M., a West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station deputy patrolling Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, heard several gun shots coming from within the park.

Within seconds of hearing the gunfire, the deputy saw three male transients run toward his patrol car. The men told the deputy an unidentified, heavy-set, male White adult fired several rounds from a handgun at them, striking one of them in the lower torso.

The injured victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, where he is in serious condition.

Responding deputies contained the park and searched the area for the suspect, but he was not located.

Shell casings from a small caliber handgun were collected at the crime scene as evidence of the shooting.

For questions or information, please contact West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Detective Michael Berbiar at 310-855-8850.
