This past week, we saw in increase in thefts in the Castaic area.
There were three separate incidents of thefts from power supply boxes belonging to “Time Warner Cable”. A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on the 30000 block of Clover Ct. An electrical pool pump was stolen from a home on the 30000 block of Romero Cyn Rd. There were three reported thefts from unlocked vehicles in the area of The Old Rd and Oak Valley Rd. A vehicle was stolen from the 32000 block of Quartz Ln. It was recovered the next day by LAPD-Mission Station.
Make sure to always lock your vehicles and do not leave any person items in plain view. If you need to leave personal items in the car, secure them in the trunk. Be vigilant! If you see any suspicious activity, call the Sheriff’s station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
