The Township of Saddle Brook will be holding its annual fireworks display on Tueday, July 3rd in the Bergen County Park. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin when dark at approximately 9:15pm and should conclude by 10pm.

For pedestrian safety in and around the park, the portion of the pedestrian/bike paths on the East side of the lake (river side) will be closed early in the afternoon to allow for the display set up. The entire pedestrian/bicycle path surrounding the lake will be closed in the early evening hours (exact time unknown)

Saddle River Road will be closed to vehicular traffic at approximately 8:30pm until the conclusion of the event and the departure of the crowd from the park area (approx 10pm). While closed Saddle River Road must remain passable for emergency vehicles and larger vehicles that cannot be detoured, therefore no seating or pedestrians will be permitted to stay in the roadway.

Residents should be prepared for road closures and detours in the area of the park. Motorist should pay extra attention to different traffic patterns, posted emergency no parking areas and increased pedestrian traffic in the area of Saddle River Road and the Bergen County Park.

Residents are also reminded that ALL personal fireworks are illegal in New Jersey including sparklers, firecrackers and bottle rockets. Please have a safe, happy and healthy holiday.
