Thank you for subscribing to NIXLE! As the leader for Zone-3 it is my goal to keep you informed of the very latest crime trends and public safety information. Overall crime is down this week. The following is a snap shot of the Part-1 crimes reported this past week.
•An Attempt Rape and Kidnapping occurred in the late evening hours of 06/30/2012, in the vicinity of Sycamore Meadow and Willowbrooke Ln, Westridge. The suspect, a male Asian adult, was arrested at the scene. The investigation is on-going at this time.
•A Grand Theft was reported at a residence in the 25600 block of Shaw Place.
•A Commercial Burglary occurred on Saturday, 06/30/2012, in the 25800 block of The Old Road. The suspect, a female white adult, was taken into custody.
•On Sunday, 07/01/2012, a couple parked their vehicle at Jake Kuredjian Park on Pico Canyon Road, leaving it unlocked. When they returned to the vehicle they discovered that thieves had stolen a purse and a wallet which had been left in plain view.
•Two thefts were reported at Magic Mountain Park.
Celebrate this July 4th safely! Remember, no “unpermitted” fireworks, including “Safe and Sane” are allowed in the unincorporated areas or within the City of Santa Clarita. On July 4th, the Stevenson Ranch HOA will be hosting its fireworks show at Richard Rioux Park and the City of Santa Clarita will host its annual fireworks show at the Town Center Mall.
