Heat advisory

Limestone County is under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. today. The National Weather Service says the actual air temps will be at or above 100 degrees with heat indexes to 105 degrees. This increases the risk for heat exhaustion or heat stroke. The advisory continues Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Avoid working outside during the advisory time.

Wear light weight and loose fitting clothes.

Drink plenty of water.

Do not leave children or pets unattended in vehicles.

Check on elderly relatives or neighbors.
