A High Heat advisory has been issued for Wednesday and Thursday as forecasts call for the temperature to reach the upper 90's on both days. People are advised to limit outdoor activity, drink plenty of fluids and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. This advisory is especially important to the elderly, small children and those with breathing issues.
Also remember your pets. Give them plenty of water, a cool spot to rest, and do not leave them in vehicles where the temperatures can be 20-30 degrees higher than the outdoor temperature.
