Street lane closures on Baldwin Ave & Michillinda Ave, Foothill-Colorado, Tue & Fri, Jun 19 & 22, 9am-4pm.
Attention residents, businesses, and organizations in the vicinity of the intersections where Michillinda Avenue and Baldwin Avenue cross with Foothill Boulevard in Arcadia, CA
Some lane closures will take place to allow construction crews to investigate existing underground utilities as part of pre-construction activities for the 11.5-mile Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension light rail extension project. The location of existing underground utilities must be verified using an electronic device and vacuum excavation equipment. Some lane closures are required to accomplish this work.
This operation is scheduled to take place on both streets on Tuesday, June 19 and Friday June 22, 2012, weather permitting. Anticipated work hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Crews will be working on southbound Michillinda Avenue and southbound Baldwin Avenue between Foothill Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard in the unincorporated section of Arcadia, CA.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• The right southbound lane along Michillinda Avenue and Baldwin Avenue will be temporarily closed.
• Thru-traffic will be maintained for vehicles at all times. Pedestrians and cyclists may be detoured.
• Some slowdown in traffic may occur.
• Signs will be posted to indicate street parking restrictions.
• Access will be maintained for local residences and businesses.
• At times, heavy equipment noises will occur.
