Parks Bureau Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested two teenage robbery suspects today, Monday, June 18, 2012. The Robbery occurred this morning at 9:00 a.m. at Sunshine Park (515 Deepmead Avenue, La Puente).
Two teenagers were walking through the park when they were approached by two males. One of the males, armed with a knife, demanded that both of the teenagers give him all their valuables. The victims complied and the males fled the park. One of the victims recognized one of the subjects as being a student at a local high school. The deputies responded to the high school and with the victims help, were able to identify one of the Subjects. A short time later, they were able to identify the second subject. Both subjects were ultimately located with the stolen property in their possession.
The Subjects, both Males, seventeen years-of-age were placed under arrest for Robbery and transported to a Juvenile Detention Facility.
