The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police has an important message for you!
Illegal Dumping- Camp Spirit ( Applewood area)- Upper Macungie Township
*UPDATE*
Please see attached photo of dumped concrete. It appears that the concrete found may have been from an interior demolition, such as a garage or basement floor. In addition, it is possible that the work was completed by an amateur, who may have used a rented truck (like those that can be rented from home improvement stores) to dump the waste.
Camp Spirit in Fogelsville is used and maintained by boy scouts. The removal of this concrete may be a considerable expense. BLRPD is asking for the public's help in bringing the offender(s) to justice.
(Original message below)
On June 12th, 2012 a member of the board of trustees at Camp Spirit notified police that on either Sunday or Monday (most likely Monday), an unidentified person dumped a large amount of concrete slab on Camp Spirit property. The member stated that he believes a large dual wheeled truck was used to dump the slab, which may have been used to make sidewalks.
The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police are actively investigating this case and intend the prosecute the offender. Anyone who may have observed this vehicle on Mulberry Rd. in the Applewood community is requested to contact police at 610-683-870.
