SUSPICIOUS MAN IN YOUNTVILLE:

There have been a few reports of a suspicious man and circumstances in the area of Rancho de Napa, 6468 Washington Street, in Yountville.

On 5/22/12 at about 1:50 am, a woman in Rancho de Napa woke up to find a man had entered her residence. The man said he was her grandson and then he left the residence. He was not her grandson.

On 6/9/12, at about 9:30 pm, a man in Rancho de Napa heard his screen door bang shut. He thought the door banged because of the wind. In the morning he discovered that his wallet and keys were missing off the dining room table.

On 6/13/12 at about 5 am, deputies responded to Rancho de Napa for a suspicious man trying to open the doors to two residences. At a third residence the man entered the home. He was confronted by the woman who lived there. He called the woman “grammy” and said his name was “Jamie”. The woman shoved him back out the door and he took off running.

The man is describes as white, thin, 5’5, and wearing black clothes.

If anyone sees a suspicious person, please call Napa dispatch at 253-4451. If someone is actually trying to get into your home, call 911. Don’t call the Yountville sub-station directly; this could cause a delay if no deputies are in the office at that moment.

This suspicious person has not forced entry into the homes. Please, always remember to be safe and lock you doors and windows, even when you are home, so no one can gain entry.
