Boil Water Alert Lifted
Please be advised that the boil water alert for Shelby Township has been lifted. Samples taken as a precautionary measure, after the recent pressure loss, have indicated that the water is safe for all domestic use. As an extra precaution water lines could be flushed for 2 to 3 minutes and old ice from ice makers can be discarded.
The Department of Public Works is requesting that all nonessential use (lawn irrigation, car washing, etc.) is limited until service from the 36” DWSD transmission line has been fully restored. The estimated time for this completion is June 5, 2012.
Your continued patience and understanding through this process is greatly appreciated.
