The Bedford Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will graduate their first class of trained volunteers on June 7, 2012.
Twenty people participated in 20+ hours of training over a 4-week period to learn about triage, search & rescue, and fire suppression. Graduates represent all walks of life from a high school student to retirees; and backgrounds as diverse as nursing, marketing, writer, landscaper, property management and amateur radio operators!
When asked “why are you here for the training”, all wanted to be better prepared personally and wanted to give back to the community!
