The Marietta Police Department Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) is investigating a serious injury pedestrian accident which occurred on Atlanta Road south of Old Clay Street on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 6:38PM. The on scene investigation reveals that a Hispanic male was crossing Atlanta Road outside of a cross walk and was struck by a red 1991 Ford Mustang driven by Ricas Cook, 29 years old of Marietta. The pedestrian was transported to Kennestone Hospital in serious condition and is being kept for observation. Charges are pending against the unidentified pedestrian and anyone with information is asked contact Officer Justin Rutland at (770)794-5364.
