Man Shot Following Dispute with Housemate
(Valley Springs, CA) On 05/07/12 at approx. 2:53 PM, Calaveras Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators were dispatched to a report of a gunshot wound at a residence on the 3800 block of Bartelink Drive. Upon arrival the deputies contact the conscious victim, a 52 year old Valley Springs man (name withheld at this time pending further information). Following contact with the victim the deputies and investigators spoke with the alleged shooter, Adam Lee Hagerman (49) of Valley Springs. Mr. Hagerman was arrested at the scene and transported to the Calaveras County Jail. At the time of his arrest a handgun was found in Mr. Hagerman’s possession. The victim was transported via helicopter to a Modesto area hospital for his injury. His condition is unknown at this time. Preliminary reports suggest that the shooting followed some sort of dispute between the two housemates.
Mr. Hagerman was booked into the CCSO jail on the charges of 664 PC / 187 PC: Attempted Murder.
Sheriff’s Detectives will continue to investigate this incident throughout the afternoon and evening. Further information about this incident will be released tomorrow following the investigation.
