A 57-year old Lomita resident was arrested for felony driving under the influence after his car allegedly rear-ended a sheriff's patrol vehicle, injuring a Sheriff's sergeant.
A Lomita Sheriff's Station sergeant was stopped in his patrol vehicle waiting for a red light on Pacific Coast Highway and Pennsylvania Avenue in Lomita, on Saturday, May 5th at about 2:50PM, when his marked patrol vehicle was rear-ended,
The sergeant received minor injuries as a result of the collision and was medically treated and released.
Suspect James Cuddy was arrested and booked at Lomita Sheriff’s Station for felony DUI (23153(a) CA Vehicle Code). His bail amount was set at $100,000.00.
