Modesto, CA – **Update** Sheriff’s Deputies have detained a male subject found near the crime scene. The male has not been identified and is a person of interest at this point in the investigation. The status of the victim was not available as of this press release. Detectives have taken over the investigation.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to several 911 calls at 9:41 PM in the 1600 Block of Vernon Ave in Modesto, CA for several gunshots heard by residents. When deputies arrived they found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency personnel transported the female to a local hospital and her status is not known at this time.
