Muskegon Police asking for assistance in child luring reports
The Muskegon Police Department is asking for your assistance in reference to two reported child luring cases. We are thankful that in both cases the suspect drove off without incident but we obviously wish to address this before a more serious crime occurs to a young person.
The cases occurred on April 21 and on May 2. Both cases happened between the time that school lets out until around supper time with one being in the 1500 block of Getty and the other in the 1000 block of Evanston. In one instance the suspect approached a younger child and talk to them and in the other the same subject followed a teenage girl that was walking and attempted to talk to her. Again, in both instances the suspect drove off without incident. He is described as a while male of medium build, approximately 50 to 60 years old with white hair, possibly wearing glasses, driving a newer looking silver 4-door sedan.
If you have any information on this suspect, please contact the Muskegon Police Department at 724-6750 or silent observer at 722-7463
Please also take this opportunity to speak to your children about avoiding strangers and report any such suspicious activity. We want all our youth to be safe.
