Mountain Madness Triathlon May 4-6 affecting Harris Branch Rd - Hwy 382 - Hwy 136 & Hwy 411

Motorists be on alert for triathlon participants

Due to the Mountain Madness Triathlon that will
take place in and around Carters Lake, Harris Branch
Park will be closed to the public May 4 – 6. The park
will reopen May 7.

The following roads will be used for the bike race
portion of the triathlon event between the hours of
7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., May 6: Harris Branch
Road, Hwy. 382, Hwy. 136, Old 411, Hwy. 282, Dennis Mill Road, Old Federal Road and Hwy. 52 to Fort
Mountain State Park. There will also be runners on
Harris Branch and Camp Branch between 10:30 a.m.
and 3:30 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid these areas if possible
for the safety of the athletes and should use
extreme caution if required to drive along the race
route.
