Arson/ Explosives Detail Conducts Search of Malibu Area Schools After Bomb Threat
Incident Began May 3, 2012, 11:07 AM
Deputies responded to Malibu High School this morning regarding a bomb threat call. An unidentified male caller stated there was a bomb located at the high school.
As a precaution, Malibu High and two adjacent schools were also placed on lockdown until Malibu High School could be thoroughly
searched. Sheriff’s Department Arson/ Explosives detail responded aided by Explosion Detecting K-9 dogs and searched the entire campus along with Aero Bureau and Malibu/Lost Hills Deputies
There were no explosive devices and no suspects were located at this time.
Further investigation will be conducted by the Malibu/Lost Hills Detective Bureau.
At 1330 hours, parents were permitted to pick up their children from the campus.
There is no further information at this time.
