The Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office regarding a wish from an eight year old boy that is terminally ill. As many may know, this Foundation is the nation’s largest wish-granting organization that gives hope, strength, and joy to children with life threatening medical conditions (as noted on their website: www.wish.org). This Friday, May 4th, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (Bomb Team) will be assisting the Foundation with granting the boy’s wish to see explosives in action. On Friday, there are a series of small blasts to be expected in the area and this alert is to let the surrounding public know that this is a planned event.
