**Updated Press Release** Federal Agent murdered by teenage son in Carson.

Shortly after 9:00 Wednesday (05/02/2012) night personnel at Carson Sheriff Station received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a Carson residence. When deputies arrived at the home in the 19300 block of Broadacres Avenue they were met by a teenage boy who directed them to a back room. Here deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Los Angeles County Fire Department Rescue personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. As a result of their investigation homicide detectives have arrested the victim's 14-year-old son for his murder.

The 40-year-old victim a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agent was sitting in the family room when he was shot with a handgun through a window.

The suspect was booked for murder at Carson Station and will be transferred to a juvenile detention facility.

This a domestic incident and the motive is unknown

Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 19300 block of Broadacres Avenue, Carson to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Black adult.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
