Press Release: Police arrest juvenile robbery suspect

Officers from the Palo Alto Police Department have arrested a juvenile suspect in conjunction with a street robbery that occurred on March 31 in the 1500 block of Edgewood Drive.

Since the robbery occurred, patrol officers and detectives have been conducting follow-up investigation into the case. That investigation led to the identification of a 15-year-old male from East Palo Alto as the one who actually robbed the two juvenile victims. On Friday, April 27, 2012, at about 3:00 p.m., officers located the juvenile on El Camino Real at Oxford Avenue. Police arrested him for robbery, and later released him to a parent in accordance with standard operating procedures.

The Palo Alto Police Department does not routinely identify the names or schools of juvenile suspects, nor do we routinely release information surrounding investigative leads or any evidence that may point to a suspect’s involvement in a crime.
