The Marietta Police Department Detective Division has located the suspect and the missing child. The child was found safe and unharmed and will be returned to her mother. The investigation is still ongoing.

INCIDENT: Missing Child
DATE: April 25, 2012
LOCATION: 925 Gresham Road, Crestwood Apartments
SUSPECT: Franklin D. Horton, 29 years old
CHARGES: Active warrant for Interference With Custody
The Marietta Police Department Detective Division is currently investigating a report of a missing child who was not returned by her biological father, Franklin D. Horton after a legal visitation. The report was made on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 after all attempts to contact Horton had failed.
Horton picked up his two year old daughter, Sanai President-Horton on Saturday, April 21, 2012 and was supposed to return his daughter to the child’s mother and legal custodian on Sunday, April 22, 2012. The current location of Horton and Sanai are currently unknown.
Horton is a black male who is approximately 6’6” tall with a thin build and chin length braids. He was last seen wearing a green and white t-shirt, tan pants, white shoes and a green and gray baseball cap. Horton operates a silver 2004 Mercury Marauder bearing Georgia tag BNT-6199.
Sanai is a 2 year old black female, 20-30 pounds, 32” tall and was last seen wearing a yellow Sponge Bob shirt. She has braided hair with white beaded tips.
