Fruitport Township Police Department is investigating an incident reported to police on 04/21/2012. The female victim reported to police multiple credit cards she owns had been used fraudulently at various locations in Muskegon County and Ottawa County.
She had been shopping at JC Penney (5690 Harvey) and Meijer (5300 Harvey) on the date of the incident when she discovered her wallet had been stolen. Credit cards that were in the wallet were subsequently used.
Police are working with Meijer and JC Penney Loss Prevention Departments to review surveillance videos related to this incident regarding the original theft.
Police are also following up with businesses where the credit cards were fraudulently used.
Police are releasing images of persons of interest from store surveillance cameras in an effort to quickly identify them.
