Sheriff’s Deputy Response to a Family Fight Results in an Officer Involved Shooting

Keyes, CA – On Monday at 4:39 PM a Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 5700 Block of 10th Street in Keyes, CA for a family fight. Shortly after arriving on scene the deputy requested assistance after advising he had deployed his Taser. While back-up units were en route to assist the deputy the deputy advised that shots had been fired. Officers from various agencies responded to assist.

The male subject was transported to a local area hospital and his condition is not known as of this press release. It is early in the investigation and detectives will need to interview witnesses and collect evidence to determine what led to the officer involved shooting.
