Palmdale Sheriff's Detectives Seek to Identify Potential Victims of Indecent Exposure Suspect

Palmdale Sheriff's Station detectives arrested an Indecent Exposure suspect Wednesday morning, April 11, 2012, and are hoping to identify any other potential victims.

Esvin Donis, 33, of Palmdale, was arrested in relation to a case which occurred at 9:00 PM on Monday, April 2, 2012, at Desert Sands Park, 39117 3rd Street East, Palmdale.

The victim, a 23-year-old female, was at the park when the she observed the suspect lingering and staring at her. Attempting to avoid the suspect, the victim used the park’s restroom and was shocked to find the suspect exposing himself to her as she exited.

The victim screamed at the suspect to stop and threatened to call deputies. This caused the suspect to flee the location in an unknown direction.

As the victim returned to her vehicle to leave the park and notify deputies, she had the forethought to write down several of the vehicles’ license plates in the parking lot. The victim returned to the park a few minutes later and discovered only one of the vehicles had left the parking lot of the park.

Detectives used this information to identify the vehicle as belonging to Suspect Donis, who was positively identified by the victim. An arrest warrant was issued for Suspect Donis April 11, 2012, and he was taken into custody near the 600 Block of East Rancho Vista Blvd, Palmdale.

During his arrest, deputies also identified Donis to be in possession of a forged Social Security Card. He was additionally charged with Possession of Forged Identification and booked at the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Detectives believe Suspect Donis is linked to an additional case of Indecent Exposure, which occurred Tuesday, April 10, 2012, and are seeking the public’s help in identifying any additional victims of his actions.

The investigation is being handled by Palmdale Sheriff’s Station Detective Bureau personnel, who are asking for any potential witnesses to contact either Detective Saylor at 661-272-2474, or report information anonymously by contacting “Crime Stoppers” at 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
