For the 200+ current subscribers we have for Clinton County, you can be one of the first to have an opportunity to re-register with Nixle. Clinton County Central Dispatch is about to launch a new feature that will enhance the way we reach the citizens of Clinton County. With the funding from LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee) we have purchased Nixle Dial. Nixle Dial will allow us to quickly and reliably reach targeted groups of citizens by phone through voice messages. We will still be able to utilize texting and e-mail in addition to the mass dialing features. The mass dialing notification will be used for emergency information such as an area that needs to be evacuated. We anticipate releasing this to the press within the next week. You will need to click on the link below to get re-registered. There are many new features when you register including special needs. You will be able to include information in the system that will allow dispatch to search those with special needs such as your loved on oxygen during a power failure. We are excited to bring this service to the Community of Clinton County. Remember family members outside of Clinton County can also sign up to receive notifications to better help them stay informed of local emergencies.
