LASD Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station deputies are working with California Fish and Game wardens in an effort to tranquilize the bear and return him to the forest.
Meanwhile, the bear does pose a threat to public safety so deputies are posted throughout the area to protect the public.
The bear is wild and its actions are unpredictable. Please stay indoors and avoid the area. It is not safe to approach the bear.
