On March 30th, 2012, BLRPD investigated numerous thefts from unlocked vehicles in Upper Macungie Township. This included a vehicle in the 100 block of Forsythia, two vehicles in the 7900 block of Woodsbluff, a vehicle in the 5800 block of Winterberry, a vehicle in the 6400 block of Fugazzatto, and vehicles in the 6400 block of Ulana and 300 block of Lenape.
Again, these vehicles were unlocked with valuable items left inside. Two persons of interest were identified, however this case remains under investigation.
Lock your vehicle's doors when the vehicle is not in use. Before going to bed, check your vehicles to ensure that they are indeed locked. Do not leave valuables such as GPS units and ipods in areas that are visible to people who pass by. Lastly, help us spread the word to everyone that these thefts are occurring. Forward these messages to friends and family and encourage them to sign up to receive our alerts.
