Wednesday, March 21, 2012: At 11:34PM, a homeowner on 4th St, heard a noise in her kitchen and confronted a party described as a white male, 16-18 years of age wearing a dark blue sweat pants, a light blue hooded sweatshirt with a dark blue t shirt over the top and white gloves in her kitchen. The resident screamed which scared the party off. It was determined that the party had entered the home through an unlocked side door and stole a purse which was in the kitchen. A check of the surrounding area had negative results. At 6:45am on Thursday, 03/22/2012, the department received a call from the Passaic Police Department reporting that her pocketbook had been located in a dumpster in their city. The Saddle Brook Police Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
