Suspect Taken Into Custody After Barricading Himself In His Apartment, Lynwood (Log 48)

SUSPECT: Believe Kelson, 32 years old
NARRATIVE:
On March 1, 2012 at approximately 3:45 pm, Century Sheriff's Station received a call of a man threatening his neighbor with a shotgun at an apartment complex on the 3100 block of El Segundo Boulevard, Lynwood.
When deputies arrived, an adult male (later identified as 32-year old Believe Kelson of Lynwood) barricaded himself in his apartment and refused to exit.
At approximately 4:30 pm, the Sheriff's Department's Special Weapons Team responded to the location. At approximately 7:00 pm gas was introduced inside the residence after Suspect Kelson refused to exit. Shortly after gas was introduced, Suspect Kelson exited his residence and was taken into custody for a charge of Assault With A Deadly Weapon.
A weapon was not recovered from within the residence.
