During the month of February, 15 GPS units were reported stolen from vehicles. Suspects smashed car windows and removed units that were left visible. These incidents occurred throughout the city during all hours of the day and night.

Police, as well as GPS manufacturers, warn that GPS units and related accessories, including the suction cup holder, or any other items of value not be left in plain view as this is an open invitation to theft.
