On Saturday, 25 February 2012 at 4:53 pm Police were dispatched to 675 Columbus Circle on a report of people smoking Drugs in a vehicle.
Police Sergeant Andy Montalvo, who was off duty, observed the vehicle in question, a grey Nissan Sentra, parked in the area of 675 Columbus Circle with three people inside. Sergeant Montalvo is very familiar with the area and knew that the vehicle and its occupants were out of place.
After a police investigation a 17 year old female from Metuchen, NJ, was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The 17 year old suspect was processed for possession of marijuana under 50 gms and possession of drug paraphernalia and case referred to the Juvenile Aid Bureau.
