On Thursday, 23 February 2012 members of the Perth Amboy Police Special Investigations Bureau executed a Superior Court Search Warrant at 210 Washington Street. Arrested was Jose Andre Rivera, Age 31, Seized from his residence was approximately 85 grams of marijuana, $300.00 in cash.
Rivera was charged with possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute over an ounce of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana within 1000 feet of the Ceres elementary school, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch at $10,000.00 with no 10% option. The total street value of the marijuana seized is approximately $2,000.00. The investigation was lead by Det. M. Mohamed.
