Fruitport Township Police Department is seeking charges on a 28-year-old male subject involved in an early morning one-car traffic crash near Fruitport Road and Judson Road in Fruitport Township. The driver left the scene of the crash and had a suspended driver's license.
An off-duty police officer from the City of Grand Haven called Muskegon County Central Dispatch after discovering a vehicle off the road and in the ditch at the above described location. The vehicle had struck a traffic sign. The vehicle left the scene of the crash before on-duty officers arrived.
Through investigation, officers located and identified the driver of the vehicle. Fruitport Township Police Department is seeking charges on the male subject through the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office.
This is the second incident of this nature that took place over the weekend in Fruitport Township.
