Fruitport Township Police Department has arrested a Walmart employee for embezzlement following an internal investigation conducted by the company's Asset Protection Department.
The employee had been employed by Walmart for just over a year, and in that time had embezzled merchandise from the store valued at over $1000.00.
The employee, whose name is being withheld pending arraignment, was arrested and lodged at the Muskegon County Jail.
