BOIL WATER ADVISORY - Geyser Crest

Anthony J. “Skip” Scirocco, Commissioner of the Department of Public Works, is issuing a boil water advisory for residents served by the Geyser Crest Water District. This district includes all residents in Geyser Crest as well as residents in the Town of Milton who receive water from the City of Saratoga Springs.

This boil water advisory will begin on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. and last until further notice.

Scirocco said, “There was a break in a pipe at the water treatment plant this morning which forced the plant to shut down for approximately two hours. During that time, there was an interruption of service in the Geyser Crest area. At the recommendation of the Department of Health, this boil water advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure.

Water should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least one minute and cooled prior to use. For further detailed information see the NYS Department of Health “Commonly Asked Questions Regarding Boil Water Orders”
