Authorities are looking for the person responsible for kicking in the door of a Third Street home while the owner was inside.
At 5:31 p.m. Tuesday, a Port Edwards woman was home taking a shower when she heard a loud noise, Port Edwards Officer Charles Lamb said. The woman put on a towel and ran downstairs to find the door ajar, with damage to the door jamb. She then ran into a bedroom, locked the door and called 911.
Authorities are investigating the incident and advising people to keep their doors locked and lights on during evening hours, Lamb said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Port Edwards Police Department at 715-887-3030.
