A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST FRIDAY WHICH WILL BE FOLLOWED BY SOME SNOW.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREEN BAY HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST FRIDAY.

* NORTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH AND TEMPERATURES OF 5 ABOVE TO 10 BELOW WILL COMBINE TO PRODUCE WIND CHILL VALUES OF 20 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO THIS EVENING. WINDS WILL DIMINISH TO AROUND 5 MPH OVERNIGHT HOWEVER TEMPERATURES WILL DROP WELL BELOW ZERO WHICH WILL HOLD WIND CHILL READINGS BETWEEN 20 AND 30 BELOW ZERO FOR MOST LOCATIONS. WIND CHILLS TO 35 BELOW ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

* WIND CHILLS THIS COLD CAN PRODUCE FROSTBITE IN 20 TO 30 MINUTES UNLESS PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND WINDS WILL GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROSTBITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF GOING OUTDOORS MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.

This Afternoon: Sunny and cold, with a high near 0. Wind chill values between -10 and -15. West northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around -11. Wind chill values between -15 and -20. West northwest wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm.

Friday: Snow likely after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 11. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
