Starting Friday, Indiana American Water will be doing a day time closure of Eastbound Cumberland Ave. at the intersection of Salisbury until Monday January 2nd. The local detour will be Essex to Covington back to Cumberland. Also starting Monday January 2nd Westbound Cumberland Ave. at Salisbury will be restricted to one lane through the end of the week January 7th. Indiana American Water will be preforming a water main replacement in this intersection. North and South bound traffic on Salisbury will not be hindered but motorist are encouraged to slow down. Sidewalks on the east side of Salisbury will be temporarily closed and pedestrians should use the west side.
