Police Seeking Second Man for Aggravated Assault in November 23 Shooting on Jimmy D's Sports Bar Parking Lot

Jackson police have issued an arrest warrant for Quinton Banks, 26, of Jackson, for aggravated assault. Banks is also wanted for violation of probation for failing to pay fines and court costs on a 2011 conviction for driving on a suspended license out of Madison County General Sessions Court. Investigators have identified Banks as one of two men who argued and fought with a group of people who were celebrating a birthday at Jimmy D's Sports Bar, 581 Old Hickory Blvd.

On November 23 around 2 a.m. police were called about a shooting at the sports bar. Dustin Hill, 33, of Jackson, was transported by private vehicle to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with a single gunshot wound to the stomach. He was admitted and released on November 27.

The investigation has determined that Hill was inside the business when he and a group he was with argued with Banks and Travis Chapman, 26. The disturbance continued outside. Banks and Chapman got into a red Chevy Impala and retrieved guns. Chapman shot Hill and Banks pointed a long gun at a woman who was in Hill's group. The Impala left the scene. The woman was not injured

Chapman was charged with attempted first-degree murder and was arrested on November 28 at his Melissa Cove home by members of the Jackson Police Department's Gang Enforcement Team along with Deputies with the U. S. Marshals Service. He is being held on $150,000 bond. His next scheduled court appearance is at 9:30 a.m. on December 8.

Police are seeking Quinton Banks. He is a 26-year-old black male, around 5' 9" in height and weighs about 175 pounds. He has shoulder-length, dread-lock style hair.
