Advisory

HEAVY WIND: When traffic lights are out, stop at intersections to ensure safety. Be safe to avoid accidental fires.

With windy conditions and power outages in the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station jurisdiction, many traffic lights are out. Stop at all otherwise controlled intersections to ensure safety when crossing them.

Please be safe to avoid accidental fires and the potential for them to be driven by the wind. Also, be safe if using candles for light; however, battery operated lighting devices would be better. Never use charcoal in a residence or structure for warmth, as this may be fatal.

Please report all suspicious person(s) and vehicles to the local law enforcement agency.

Southern California Edison is dilligently trying to restore power to the affected areas.

Once a powerline is removed from a downed tree on Chevy Chase and Stratford, La Canada Flintridge, it will be removed to allow passage.

I personally thank the many Crescenta Valley Station Reserve Deputies and Station Volunteers from our community who have assisted our dedicated staff in dealing with this wind related event.
