Officials Continue Search for Guns Stolen in Thanksgiving Day Shooting/Robbery
The OSBI is releasing a photograph of one of the weapons stolen from the Thanksgiving morning shooting and robbery at a Wagoner gun range. About 7:30 a.m., Kenneth Payne was shot multiple times and his four guns and gun caddy were stolen. The suspects left Payne for dead.
One of the rifles stolen is a rare Mitchell Black Lightning .22 magnum rifle. The picture attached is from the Mitchell ‘s Mausers website. Since this firearm is unique looking, investigators believe someone may have seen it recently and can lead officials to it. If anyone has information as to the gun’s whereabouts or information about the shooting and robbery, please contact either the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office or the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
