INCIDENT: Aggravated Assault
DATE: November 16, 2011
LOCATION: 1019 Franklin Road
SUSPECT: Black Male, 20-30 years of age, thin build
The Marietta Police Department Detective Division is investigating an aggravated assault of a Hispanic male that took place on Thursday, November 16, 2011 in the Marquis Apartment Complex located at 1019 Franklin Road.
At approximately 9:47pm, Marietta Police Officers responded to the Marquis Apartment Complex for a report of an accident with injuries. When officers arrived on scene they observed a crash scene that involved an occupied vehicle and two unoccupied parked vehicles. When officers went to check on the condition of the driver they discovered he had been shot. The victim was rushed to Kennestone Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The suspect was seen fleeing the scene on foot, running through the complex. The suspect is described as a black male between 20-30 years of age with a height between 5’06 to 5’09. The suspect is described as having a thin build and was last seen wearing dark colored jeans and a white hooded jacket.
