Full Notification

On November 8, 2011 between 6:00PM and 9:15PM, a home on Townside Drive in Bishop was burglarized. It appears that entry was made through a bathroom window, and several pieces of jewelry were taken. A neighbor advised the deputy taking the report that he saw a late 1980’s white Chevrolet Astro van driven by a Hispanic male that appeared to be in his late twenties to early thirties. The Hispanic male had approached the neighbor and offered to sell the neighbor floor cleaner. He also gave neighbor a small bottle of Joy dish washing liquid. The van was possibly occupied by two or three other males, and it was seen in the area around 7:00Pm on the date of the burglary.

UPDATE:

The suspect van has been located thanks to a sharp eyed citizen. The occupants have been identified and are employees of the Kirby vacuum cleaner company. They have been advised to get a permit to sell door to door in Oconee County.
