Sheriff Scott Berry and the Oconee County Sheriff's Office have identified a suspect and a person of interest in the burglary at Kids 'R' Kids day care on October 25, 2011, in which the day care's van was also stolen. The van was recovered in Athens on October 25th and was returned to the owners after being processed for evidence.

Investigators have identified Rhonda Edith Kay Whisnant (25) of Commerce as a suspect. She is 5'3'' tall weighing 250 pounds. Warrants have been obtained for her on charges of burglary, theft by taking motor vehicle, entering auto, and theft by receiving stolen property.

Investigators have also identified Michael Eugene Taylor (38) of Commerce as a person of interest and would like to speak with him. Taylor is 6'0" tall and weighs 185 pounds. There are no active warrants for Taylor at this time.
